Reiki
Treatments
A Reiki treatment last about one
hour, and I often use meditation along with Reiki, to help bring any issues
you may be dealing with into your consciousness. You do not need to disclose
any information you don't wish to, the meditation simply allows you to
explore, and helps to focus. If you wish to share any insights that is
OK. If you prefer to keep this to yourself, that is also OK.
The treatment is given fully clothed,
usually on a massage table, and I will gently place my hands over different
areas of the body where I feel energy is needed, and allow the Reiki to
flow. At some places I may hold my hands a few inches over the body.
What you experience can vary considerably
from session to session. You will sometimes feel
a sensation of warmth or tingling, and you may feel the energy moving to
other parts of your body. e.g. I may have my hands on your
feet, but you could feel warmth moving up your spine to where healing is
needed. Other times you may feel very little at all.

Most clients
find they feel much more relaxed and peaceful after a treatment.
Sometimes there is an increase in energy. Reiki is a complementary
therapy which will work well in conjunction with orthodox medical treatment
and other therapies, and help speed up the healing and make it more effective.
Several people in the medical profession are now advocating Reiki or using
it themselves.
It is important
that the client sees a medical practitioner for any condition which requires
medical treatment.
Fees
The fee for a one hour treatment is $40.00. In some situations I am willing to
do treatments for free or at a reduced cost. Please

Distant Reiki
Distant Reiki or Reiki 11 is when
Reiki is not given "hands on" but is sent from a location distant to the
recipient. This can be from the other side of the room, or the other
side of the world. Reiki can be sent to individuals, groups of people,
situations, places of conflict or world events.
Some people like to send Reiki to
one person at a time, and connect with each person as they send the energy.
This is how I prefer to work. Sometimes however, it becomes overwhelming,
when the list of people who need Reiki seems to grow and grow. Lately
I have begun using a "Reiki Box" in which I place names of people, and
symbols, and send Reiki to the whole box. I also like to place crystals
charged with Reiki inside the box.
Reiki can also be sent to people in the monthly healing circle,
where everyone in the group will send Reiki
during the circle.
