I live and work in the beautiful
Adelaide Hills in South Australia, surrounded by Gum trees and native birds,
with koalas visiting our "garden". I feel I am very fortunate to
be able to work in this kind of environment, and try to remember to be
grateful and give thanks for the many blessings I have.
Sometimes I become engrossed in life's
ups and downs, and forget, but whenever I feel overwhelmed, all I need
to do is to go outside and look up at the sky, and look at the trees which
reach up to the sky, and feel the healing power of the universe all around
me. How can I possibly not feel better.
I sometimes need reminding that the
only person we can change is ourselves, and by healing ourselves we will
eventually heal the world. As we heal, and become more loving, we
will begin to have a positive effect on others around us, who will in turn
become more loving, creating a ripple effect.
The journey is not always easy.
Sometimes we seem to make a lot of progress, and feel like we are almost
there, and other times we seem to get "stuck", and the answers we are seeking
seem impossible to find. It is then that we just need to let go,
and trust that when we are ready, the answers will be given to us.
Reiki has helped me in this healing
process, and whenever I think I am not getting anywhere, I only need to
look back to where I was before I learned Reiki, to realise how far I have
come. If Reiki has been a part of your journey, I sure you have found
this to be true for you also. Blessings to all who visit these pages.

| My
Favourite Prayers
Prayer
of St Francis.
Lord,
make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there
is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there
is injury, pardon;
Where there
is doubt, faith;
Where there
is despair, hope;
Where there
is darkness, light;
And
where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so
much
seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood,
as to understand;
To
be loved, as to love.
For it is in
the giving that we receive,
It is in the
pardoning that we are pardoned,
And
it is in the dying that we are born
to
eternal life.

Serenity
Prayer
God
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage
to change the things I can,
And the wisdom
to know the difference. |

Quotes I especially like
If you would learn the secret
of right relations look only for the divine in people and things, and leave
the rest to God.
J. Allen Boone
Your
success and happiness lie in you.
External
conditions are the accidents of life.
The
great enduring realities are love and service.
Joy
is the holy fire that keeps our purpose warm and our intelligence aglow.
Resolve
to keep happy and your joy and you shall form
an invincible
host against difficulty.
Helen
Keller (1880-1968)
The thought
manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character.
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
And let it spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings.
The Buddha
All
truths wait in all things.
They neither
hasten their own delivery nor resist it.
The insignificant
is as big to me as any.
What is less
or more than a touch?
Logic and
sermons never convince, the damp of the night drives deeper into my soul.
Walt
Whitman. Go confidently
in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.

| A
Blessing
I wish you enough sun to keep your
attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate
the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep
your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the
smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy
your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate
all that you possess.
I wish you enough "Hellos" to get
you through the final "Good-bye"
